The Our Lady of the Assumption ("OLA") Volleyball Program is run by volunteers of the OLA Athletic Ministry. The program is open to all rising 5th through 8th grade girls who are registered in the parish. Beginners are welcome - no previous play experience is required! Our volleyball teams compete in the Catholic Metro Volleyball League (CMVL), which comprises Catholic schools/parishes throughout the metro area. The CMVL consists of 2 GIRLS divisions: 5th/6th grade division and 7th/8th grade division. Each team has a minimum of 9 and maximum of 12 players. Teams are evenly balanced by skill level and all players receive playing time based upon league rules. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, however you may register your daughter on a waitlist if the registration is full. If you are accepted from the waitlist, you will be sent a reminder email to login to your Sports Connect account and pay your outstanding balance. Please note: CMVL works in conjunction with the Catholic Metro Soccer League, so no U12 (5th/6th grade) girls or U14 (7th/8th grade) soccer games will be scheduled during volleyball games. Registration will open from May 22nd until July 16th.
The season lasts for 6 weeks and a tournament is played at the end of the season.

Labor Day Weekend September 2nd - NO GAMES
Week 4- September 9th
Week 5 - September 16th

Match Information:
We will play two teams every Saturday.
Scoring (rally scoring) is best 2 out of 3 games played.
Matches generally begin anytime between 9am and 12pm. Occasionally we may have a 1pm start time.
Each match will last one hour.

Registration Cost - $160 (There is a family registration discount of $15 for each additional child registered in the program.) ?Jersey Fee (if needed) - $25 - Returning players will reuse the jerseys from the previous season, but have the opportunity during registration to purchase a new jersey. New registrants to the program will need to purchase a jersey. Please note that if you order your child's jersey AFTER the closing date there is no guarantee you will receive either the size requested or the jersey before the start of the season. Please note the following refund processes for cancellations after registration: A $30 refund fee will be charged for cancellations before the registration closing date of 7/16; a $60 refund fee will be charged for cancellations between 7/17 and 8/12; and no refunds will be allowed after 8/12. Jersey Refund Policy: You will receive a refund for a purchased jersey if you cancel your child's registration before the registration closing date of 7/16.
