Dear OLA Parish Family, One of the developments in parish life after the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) was the promotion of pastoral councils, that is, bodies of parishioners and certain members of the pastoral staff that assist the pastor in fostering the pastoral activity of the parish. While not mandated by Canon Law, pastoral councils have long been employed by OLA’s pastors. I am happy to continue that tradition, recognizing it as a valuable source of assistance i
