Family Faith Formation
Love is shown by little things, by attention to small daily signs which make us feel at home. Faith grows when it is lived and shaped by love. That is why our families, our homes, are true domestic churches. They are the right place for faith to become life, and life to grow in faith.”
- Pope Francis
Our Lady of the Assumption is a parish home for those seeking to live their faith. Family Faith Formation is here to support parents as they pass the faith on to their child. Our team of catechists, mentors, administrators, and directors are here to help support your efforts in raising your child in the Catholic Church through scripture and tradition. We are here to help families in preparing the child and youth to receive the gifts of Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation in addition to living a life of service to others and building community. This formation, mission, and community is practiced each month through Families Forming Disciples (FFD). This reflects the Marian values of the Marist in the Society of Mary which is the foundation or our parish.
Family Forming Disciples
Families Forming Disciples (FFD) was developed by the Archdiocese of Atlanta to strengthen our families in their faith through formation, mission, and community. Each month our families come together as a large group for formation, then go home with an activity for the family to go deeper into what they learned. Small groups then meet each month to talk about what they discovered about their faith and build community. By participating in FFD your child receives the formation that is required prior to receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
This program welcomes all to discover more and live out their Catholic Family life.

Mentor families are needed to guide and schedule the small group meetings. To volunteer check the box on your registration form. Please prayerfully consider being a mentor for Families Forming Disciples.
