I am thrilled to announce that my wife, Melissa Owens, has been recognized as the OLA Catholic Church Parish Woman of the Year! Although Melissa is not one to seek the spotlight, her unwavering dedication to faith formation in our parish families has not gone unnoticed.
Melissa's passion for nurturing the faith of families and children is truly inspiring. For several years, she has served as a mentor in the Families Forming Disciples program, which seeks to strengthen our parish families in their faith.
As a mother of five herself, she has shared her knowledge of family life and helped many young people to grow in their faith. She has also played a vital role in helping to lead the Edge with Purpose program, which helps our parish middle schoolers deepen their faith in Christ.
Through her humble service, Melissa is truly living the Gospel working tirelessly in small but impactful ways to bring the future of our parish closer to their faith. Please join me in congratulating Melissa on this well-deserved recognition.
