Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Dedication of our Church Building with Us!
Beginning in 1957 our parish family began attending Mass in our first official church building - one that was temporary and intended to become the gymnasium for our school. Fast forward to 1999 when our parish formed a building committee and began fundraising. In June 2003 we finally broke ground on a long dreamed of new church! In the meantime, Masses were celebrated in the Murray Center, our gymnasium (orange carpet floor and all!).
On November 4, 2005 then-Archbishop Wilton Daniel Gregory, SLD joined us as we moved from the gym into our new church home. After being welcomed at the front door by Father Jim McGoldrick, SM, who was OLA’s pastor at the time, Archbishop Gregory blessed the water in the baptismal font. Then, assisted by Father McGoldrick, and other Marists priests, he blessed the altar…
