St. Joseph’s Table and Food Drive
The tradition of St. Joseph’s Tables in Catholic churches began in Sicily during middle ages in a time of famine. Legend tells us that during a severe drought the people of Sicily prayed to St. Joseph for relief. Relief came through desperately needed rain! In gratitude after an abundant harvest, the people prepared tables of food to honor St. Joseph and to share with the poor.
The One OLA ministry created the beautiful St. Joseph’s Tabel altar that will remain in the narthex through the Feast of St. Joseph on March 19th.
As part of the celebration, we ask that you help stock the St. Vincent de Paul Pantry with the following food items:
