Family Faith Formation Coordinator (Full-Time)
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookhaven seeks a Family Faith Formation Coordinator to lead and grow faith formation for families with children. This role is centered on equipping parents as the primary educators of the faith while guiding children toward full sacramental life.
The coordinator will oversee Family Faith Formation for children in Pre-K through 5th grade and prepare children and families for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. This individual will also support the transition from a traditional 10th-grade Confirmation model to a 6th-grade approach and will coordinate OCIA for children (age 7+). Additional responsibilities include planning and executing Vacation Bible School, recruiting and supporting catechists and volunteers, and managing program enrollment, communications, and budget.
The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic and hold a Master Catechist Certification or an equivalent background in theology or faith formation, with prior parish ministry experience required and experience in family faith formation preferred. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Parish Soft is a plus. Evening and weekend availability is a must. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is beneficial.

Adult Faith Formation Coordinator (Full-Time)
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church is seeking a full-time Adult Faith Formation Coordinator to lead and grow the parish’s adult evangelization and formation efforts. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing all adult faith formation programs, including the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) and adult Confirmation.
The coordinator will recruit and support volunteer catechists, guide small groups and Bible studies, and organize parish missions, retreats, and workshops. This position collaborates closely with parish staff to ensure a unified, family-centered approach to discipleship.
The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a strong knowledge of Church teaching and experience in adult faith formation and OCIA. A bachelor’s degree or Master Certification in theology or a related field is required, along with prior parish ministry experience. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are essential. Some evening and weekend availability is required; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Administrative Assistant (Full-Time)
Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Brookhaven is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the parish office. This full-time, onsite role serves as a key point of contact for parishioners and visitors while providing essential administrative support to staff and clergy.
Responsibilities include answering phones and greeting visitors, maintaining parishioner and sacramental records in ParishSOFT, processing Mass intentions and sacramental certificates, coordinating office operations and supplies, and supporting faith formation and sacramental preparation programs. The position requires a high level of organization, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and professionalism.
Qualified candidates should have an associate degree and at least 2–3 years of administrative experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; ParishSOFT experience and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to serving the mission of the Catholic Church.

Choir Director for Spanish Mass
Our Lady of the Assumption Church is seeking a part-time Liturgical Choir Director to lead music for the Sunday Spanish Mass and special celebrations including Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter, among others. This role includes directing the choir, leading rehearsals, selecting music for the liturgical seasons, and working with the priest and liturgical team.
Candidates should have experience directing choirs, a strong understanding of the Mass and Catholic liturgical music, and the ability to lead cantors and rehearsals. Proficiency in piano or organ is required. Spanish fluency and familiarity with Hispanic liturgical music are preferred.
Responsibilities include weekly rehearsals, Sunday Mass participation, and availability for the major celebrations.
