About the event

All are welcome to join the Sr. Thea Bowman Racial Justice Ministry on a day trip to The Legacy Museum: From Slavery to Mass Incarceration and National Memorial for Peace and Justice (lynching memorial) in Montgomery, Alabama on Saturday, April 22nd.

The Legacy Museum provides a comprehensive history of the United States with a focus on the legacy of slavery. Situated on a site where enslaved Black people were forced to labor in bondage. It is an immersive experience with cutting-edge technology, world-class art, and critically important scholarship about American history.  The Memorial, is the nation’s first memorial dedicated to the legacy of enslaved Black people, people terrorized by lynching, African Americans humiliated by racial segregation and Jim Crow.
