Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday: ​February 18th

​Although Ash Wednesday is not a Holy Day of Obligation you are encouraged to join us for Mass to begin your Lenten devotions. 

Ashes are sacramentals that serve as visible signs that help predispose our souls to Grace. They symbolize the dust from which God made us and are a reminder of the grief we feel over our sins that separate us from God. As we wear our ashes throughout the day they serve as a sign that we are committing ourselves to a life in Christ.
