The Parish Engagement Council invites  you to participate in it's first annual Summer of Service.

The Summer of Service initiative offers volunteer opportunities for all ages to stay actively involved in church life throughout the summer. Through a variety of service

projects, parishioners will have the opportunity to serve

our community, grow in fellowship, and share the love and Word of God through acts of faith and compassion.

We are currently offering five Volunteer Options over six dates. Each opportunity will have a primary coordinator who will manage the volunteers as the date draws nearer via e-mail and/or text chain to finalize details, collect materials/donations if required and communicate important information (including waivers if required).

Saturday, June 20th: Lifeline Animal Project

Volunteer and help a pet in need. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes which can get dirty as we will be helping to provide cleaning and maintenance services to their

facilities. Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age.

Sunday, July 12th: Canterbury Court

Spend the afternoon with the wonderful residents of Canterbury Court! We will host a small piano recital (and other instruments or vocals welcome!), play card games, do puzzles while enjoying the afternoon with the residents. All ages welcome!

Saturday, July 18th: Lifeline Animal Project

Volunteer and help a pet in need. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes which can get dirty as we will be helping to provide cleaning and maintenance services to their

facilities. Volunteers must be at least 10 years of age.

Monday, July 20th: Ronald McDonald House Chef-Led Meal Prep

The RMCDH Our Chef-Led Meal Experiences allow groups to prepare and serve meals to our families with ease. Our Chefs will plan a well-balanced menu, provide all necessary ingredients and guide you through preparing the meal

itself. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

Friday, August 7th: OLA Community Car Wash

Join the OLA Parish Engagement Council on Friday, August 7th from 3-6pm in the OLA Church parking lot as we host a FREE car wash for OLA Church Parishioners, OLA School Staff and the local Community. We need your help to wash, rinse and dry cars as they move through the parking lot. All ages are welcome to help make this car wash a success!

IMPORTANT: All children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult to assist with car washing.

Tentative Saturday, September 12th: Carry The Load

This organization creates volunteer events at national cemeteries to provide Americans with active ways to honor those who have served our country. The event includes a brief ceremony and instructions to volunteers on headstone cleaning and beautification. Our Lady of the Assumption would participate as a group! All ages welcome!
