November 1st - 8th we celebrate National Vocation Awareness Week, a time to reflect on the many ways God calls each of us to holiness and to pray for those discerning His call.

⁣

The word vocation comes from the Latin vocare, meaning “to call.” Every one of us has a vocation—a unique invitation from God to love Him, serve others, and grow in holiness. While we often associate vocations with the priesthood or religious life, God also calls people to marriage and family life, the permanent diaconate, and lives of generous service.

Throughout the week, we will highlight these different vocations and offer prayers for those who have answered God's call, as well as those still discerning where He is leading them.

⁣

As we begin this special week, let us pray that every member of our parish, especially our young people, will have the courage to ask, “Lord, how are You calling me to become a saint?

Check our social media each day this week to learn more about vocations and to pray for vocations to all states of life.

Let us pray in particular to the priests who serve our parish and schools.

“Every high priest is taken from among men and made their representative before God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.”

— Hebrews 5:1

Men called to the priesthood dedicate their lives to serving Christ and His Church. Through the Sacrament of Holy Orders, priests are ordained to proclaim the Gospel, celebrate the Eucharist, administer the sacraments, and shepherd God's people. Diocesan priests typically serve in parishes, while priests belonging to religious orders live according to the charism and mission of their communities.

Pray a Rosary TODAY for our Parish Priests - Father Dan, Father Nick, Father Robbie, and Father Peter.

Rosary for Our Parish Priests

Our parish priests dedicate their lives to serving Christ and His Church. Through the celebration of the Eucharist, administration of the sacraments, preaching of the Gospel, and pastoral care of God's people, they help lead us closer to Christ. As we pray the Rosary, we entrust our priests to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests, asking her to intercede for them and strengthen them in their vocation.

Rosary Intentions for Our Parish Priests

First Decade – For Holiness and Faithfulness:

We pray that our priests may grow daily in holiness, remain faithful to their vocation, and deepen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. May their lives reflect the love and mercy of the Good Shepherd.

Second Decade – For Strength and Perseverance:

We pray that God will grant our priests strength in times of difficulty, peace amid their many responsibilities, and perseverance in their ministry. May they find renewal through prayer and the grace of the sacraments.

Third Decade – For Wisdom and Guidance:

We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide our priests as they preach, teach, counsel, and lead our parish community. May they be blessed with wisdom, patience, humility, and discernment in every decision.

Fourth Decade – For Joy and Fraternity:

We pray that our priests will experience deep joy in their vocation and the support of their brother priests and parish family. May they be strengthened by genuine friendships, meaningful fellowship, and the love of those they serve.

Fifth Decade – For Protection and the Intercession of Mary:

We entrust our priests to the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary. May she protect them from spiritual and physical harm, comfort them in moments of loneliness or discouragement, and always lead them closer to her Son.

Closing Prayer for Our Priests

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of our parish priests and their generous response to Your call. Bless them with holiness, wisdom, courage, and joy. Strengthen them in their ministry, sustain them through every challenge, and help us to support them through our prayers, encouragement, and love. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests, may they always remain faithful servants of Your Son and loving shepherds of Your people. Amen.
