The OLA Justice and Peace Ministry will hold its annual collection for Stand Up for Kids the Weekend of March 4th and 5th. Stand Up for Kids serves unaccompanied homeless and at risk youth – and young parents with children of their own – up to their 25th birthday. Their ongoing mission is to end the cycle of youth homelessness.

Requested items include:

-  pop-top protein (such as Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee),

-  chicken and tuna packages, crackers (to eat with chicken/tuna),

-  packages of nuts,

-  granola bars,

-  peanut butter crackers,

-  and individually packed sweet treats (like Little Debbie snacks).

New this year we will be gathering encouraging notes from parishioners to be included in goody bags for the homeless young adults. Come see us in the narthex that weekend to write a short note of encouragement to a teen!
