Our next Stephen Minister training class will begin on Saturday, January 8, 2022 and will conclude in mid May. The class will meet 15 times, on 10 Tuesday or Thursday evenings and on 5 Saturdays. Some of the classes will be virtual and some in person, with appropriate social distancing.
Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our parish and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. A Stephen Minister is a parishioner with gifts for caregiving, who has received 50 hours of tr
aining in providing emotional and spiritual care, someone who will “be there” for his or her care receiver, meeting faithfully for about an hour each week, a caring Christian friend who listens, prays, supports, encourages and walks beside a person who is hurting.
If you are a good listener and a compassionate, caring person, please prayerfully consider becoming a Stephen Minister and joining us for this class.
