Notre Dame Glee Club Spring Concert
Time & Location
About the Event
The University of Notre Dame Men’s Glee Club, under the direction of Daniel Stowe, will appear at OLA at 7:30pm on Tuesday, March 10 as part of their 2020 Spring Tour. The concert is free and open to the public; an offering will be taken. The Glee Club recently celebrated its 100th anniversary as a campus ensemble. The program will include Renaissance sacred works by Palestrina, Victoria, and Gabrieli; contemporary classical choral settings; and a presentation of the civil-rights suite “Rainbow Round My Shoulder,” originally compiled to accompany the landmark 1959 Alvin Ailey dance work of the same name. Also on the program will be American hymns, spirituals, and popular song, along with Irish folk songs. Don’t miss this thrilling evening of a cappella music for men's chorus.
We are also looking for families to host the singers that evening and drive them to meet the tour bus the following morning.
If you can host 1 or 2 members or have questions about the concert, please contact Ryan Carlin at email@example.com or Brian Scully at firstname.lastname@example.org.
