for Prayer

"We must pray without ceasing...
in every occurrence and employment of our lives - that
prayer which is rather a habit of lifting up the heart to
God as in a constant communication with Him.” .

- Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Eucharistic Adoration is visiting and spending time in quiet prayer with Jesus present in the Eucharist. It is an expression of our love for Jesus who, through His love for us, stays with us in the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration takes place each Wednesday in the Daily Chapel beginning at 8am, continuing until 6:30pm. Adoration is followed by Holy Hour (or the Monthly Healing Rosary) from 6:30pm to 7pm. Sign up not required, but if you would like to register for a specific hour, please click here

For information, please email Betsie Greiff at adoration@olachurch.org

Centering Prayer Group

The Centering Prayer Group meets every Wednesday from 7-8pm in the Upper Room. The Centering Prayer method presents the teachings of Christian contemplatives from earlier times in an updated form. All are welcome. No experience necessary.

The purpose of the ongoing prayer group meeting is threefold: Prayer, Study & Action.

       1. To pray in the contemplative form,

       2. Engage in ongoing study of contemplative prayer, and

       3. Support one another in living the contemplative life.

Healing Rosary
A healing rosary is prayed on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm in the Daily Chapel. All are welcome to attend.

Lectio Divina

Lectio Divina is prayed in community during Advent and Lent on Wednesdays from 12:00-12:30pm in the Daily Chapel.

All are welcome. No experience necessary.

Join us at midday on the Wednesdays during Advent and Lent as we pray during Eucharistic Adoration in the ancient tradition of Lectio Divina.  Lectio Divina, translated as “Divine Reading”, was practiced in the first monasteries as a means of prayer in the company of the Scriptures. Silence, repetition, reflection and rest helps us to “pray” the text.

For more information, please email Mark Dannenfelser at mdannenfelser@olachurch.org.

Penance Services

Communal Penance Services are held two times during the year – once during Advent and again during Lent.

Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross are prayed in the Church each Friday during Lent at 7:30pm.
