Children's Faith Formation Registration 2021-22
Faith Formation Offerings
Families Forming Disciples: K – 5th Grade
Families Forming Disciples is a program designed for families. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that parents are the primary educators of their child’s faith. (Catechism of the Catholic Church; 2221-2229) The church is here to support you in this role. OLA is offering flexibility within this offering of formation this year. You have the option to participate as a family in an in-person group on campus along with small groups off campus.
Below you will be given the opportunity to select the option that works best for you and your family. We will do everything possible to honor your requested choice, but cannot guarantee it at this time.
Choice 1: Meets Sunday from 10 to 11:30 am once a month, at home mission week and once monthly in small group. (limit 60 families)
Choice 2: Meets Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 pm once a month, at home mission week, and once in small group each month. (Limit 60 families)
Choice 3: Meets Sunday from 1 to 2:30 pm twice in small group monthly and at home mission week. (in Spanish)
Choice 4: Virtual Group: Groups that are not ready to meet in person. These will meet virtually 2 times a month with a family activity each month.
Choice 5: Continue in same small group as last year.
Edge with Purpose: Middle School Grade 6-8
The middle school group is offering Edge with Purpose as faith formation and confirmation preparation. The blocks of 6-week sessions will alternate between the Edge program which is the LifeTeen middle school program and Purpose which is the LifeTeen confirmation program. The middle school youth are required to attend these sessions so that they meet the requirement for confirmation preparation.
Your youth has 2 choices as to when to meet:
Sunday from 6:30 to 8:00pm. (Dinner will be provided after the 5:30 mass.), or
Tuesday from 7 to 8:30pm.
