Christian Outreach Ministries

Body & Soul – This group organizes the parish blood drives, health fairs, and performs fund raisers for healthcare issues such as cancer and food allergy research.

Knights of Columbus – is a Catholic men's organization that is devoted to many activities in and around the parish; specific areas     of activities are church, community, youth and pro-life.

Loaves & Fishes – Volunteers provide meals, on request to families with new babies, those that are sick or hospitalizad or families that have experienced a death.

Night Shelter Volunteers (Nov – March) – These volunteers spend the night at the shelter or assist with serving dinner(provided by the Soupremes Ministry) at the Central Presbyterian Church (downtown, across from Immaculate Conception Church).  The second Tuesday night of each month.

 Pro-Life Committee – The primary goal of this committee is to educate people about Pro-Life issues, increase awareness and raise funds for pro-life causes.

Social Justice – Social justice practices look to change the larger structures that create and support injustice in the world.  Team members will become engaged with the larger issues at our door step.  This committee will act as a larger voice in the surrounding community for those who currently provide hands-on action (ie SVdP, Prison Ministry, Night Shelter, etc)  Marginalized and Exploited Children - Children who are victims of sexual exploitation are often the unseen, unheard and unacknowledged members of our communities.  There is a direct need for volunteers who have a desire to put a stop to the candy shop of predators who prey on the innocent children in and around the Atlanta community.   This group is currently not organized under one leader.  Community activities will be provided. CURRENTLY SEEKING VOLUNTEERS

Soupremes (Nov – May) – Meals are prepared for use at the Night Shelter, Central Presbyterian Church (downtown, across from Immaculate Conception Church). Meals are prepared in Marist Hall Kitchen each Monday of the Month and delivered by the St Vincent de Paul drivers.

 St. Vincent de Paul Society – The purpose of this group is to provide confidential and temporary emergency assistance to those within our parish boundaries in the form of rent, food, utilities, medicine or transportation.  Members make personal visits to assess and verify needs of clients.

Stephen Ministry – A one to one care giving ministry which shows God's mercy and compassion to someone who is hurting.
