Youth Group is a cool, safe, fun and faithfilled place where friendships are made and community is built!
The mission of youth group is to bring others closer to Christ – both the youth who attend and the adults who work with the youth. As Catholics, our most important job in life is to grow closer in relationship with the Father who created us.
Obviously, youth group is a great place to do just that!
As we strengthen our faith and share the light of Christ, we can help others do the same. As a community we can help each other through difficult times and enjoy the happy times together.
The Senior High and Middle School youth groups are led by a team of adults, spiritual director (deacon) and a team of youth leaders. The youth leaders are the older members of the group who are role models of faith and integrity.
“Who can come to Youth Group?” is a popular question.
The answer? Anyone in the appropriate grades. One does not have to be a parishioner at OLA (or even Catholic for that matter) to attend. Just show up with an open mind – ready to participate and have a great time.
