Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
OLA is offering a new Religious Formation for 3-6 year-old children with typical development and special needs:
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based religious formation program for children. It seeks to create and facilitate a sacred, “hands on” space for children called an Atrium, in which they can hear, ponder, and celebrate the most essential mysteries of the Christian faith as revealed in the Scriptures and the Liturgy. Originally developed in Rome by Sofia Cavelletti and Gianna Gobbi fifty years ago, the CGS continues to spread world-wide. To learn more about CGS visit the website at http://www.cgsusa.org/ . We will limit the class size to 12 children ages 4 and 5 for the first year, then add the three year olds the following year, to have a mix of age ranges in the class, and allow for growth of the class size.
Participants are selected on a first-come basis, so register ASAP. Please contact Sue Soha at specialsettings@earthlink.net or 770-458-6732 for further information.
